I didn't play Emerald until a couple years ago so maybe I'm missing something but why would remakes of games that don't have the battle frontier add the battle frontier?

why remake game when you can remake better version of game

when a game is remade, IMO there shouldn't be content left excluded to the old versions which I think should include definitive versions (yellow, crystal, emerald, platinum, etc).
Why? I dont know, I personally think because there shouldnt be a reason to go back(aside form nostalgia or something), i mean the game is remade after all, play the newer one.
