Live service mainline game

>kids who played XY when they were 4 are now 18
get the fuck off this board

like the fangame that I am currently making

>region would be primal and savage, kinda like Hoenn
>plot would be almost non-existent or subtle like Gen 1 and 2
>legendaries would be relegated to optional sidequests or dungeons you would have to go out of your way to explore, zero story involvement, no chosen one shit
>PLA overworld and capture mechanics but improved with actual dynamics between the Pokémon and the overworld and focus on predator/prey relationships between Pokémon in the wild
>higher focus on capturing and Dex filling as well, time to get more than just one page of Dex info, catching Pokémon should be more involved than just throwing bait, we should be able to plant traps ahead of time, or study migratory patterns in order to discover when certain Pokémon will appear, etc

>kids who played RBY when they were 1 are now 78
holy shit grandpa get back to bed

ORAS and BDSP without features removed and all that gay shit they did to gimp the remakes.

>type chart fixed
>multiple paths to progress through region
>the adventure isn’t poisoned by constant “hey looks like you’ve entered a new town here’s a tutorial” shit, and you’re not the chosen one who has to save the world. It’s just your journey to the top. An evil gang can be there causing chaos, and other storylines can develop, but saving the multiverse every game with ebin overdesigned box legendary is tiresome. Fuck it have the box cover be the starters or Dunsparce or some stupid shit I hate legendaries so much now
>the region is fully 3D and decently scaled, not just basically the tiny DS/GBA maps with 3D sprites like gen 6/7/8
>world is traversed by HMs. The field move option becomes permanent, but the battle move can be forgotten at any time
>movecut is undone but availability of moves is rebalanced from scratch
>all mons available; most nuPokemon designs (gen 5+) are remade entirely. Models are also redone and given an array of dynamic animations for battle and the overworld
>following pokemon, indepth player customization etc
>good interface
>ample minigame selection and dense post-E4 material ie a battle facility. a bit much to ask, but the ability to access the other regions would be good
>ways to easily and infinitely modify EVs, IVs, and nature.
>full transfer capability from any generation 3+

I’m sure I’m forgetting some soul here for now but this is off the top of my head.

B2W2 is as close as it gets

"ORAS and BDSP, but not ORAS and BDSP"

BASED.

Emerald

>not open world but more open like how after misty in rby you could do the rest of the gyms in almost any order. Maybe have the gyms scale with how many badges you have so you don't end up with surge having a level 20 raichu as the 7th gym.
>box legendary is the focus of the post-game story, where a group approaches you after you become the champion and asks you to investigate rumors of an unknown Pokémon. There are zero references to the box legend in the story and its origin is left unclear
>story is very similar to Gen 1's story where you have to beat the gyms and elite 4 and bump into the mafia along the way. This also includes very few cutscenes, with them mostly being reserved for just before a gym battle and the introduction of key characters, like your rivals and the professor
>HMs/Pokeride/Poketch is replaced with Field Moves, which allow you to cut trees with cutting moves, break rocks with fighting moves and steel moves, travel to set locations with most two turn moves and teleport, etc.
>full 3d, pokemon are scaled correctly like in Battle Revolution and Colosseum
>all the cut moves are back but movepools get reworked
>at least 100 new mons, most of which have new or underused typings
>bring back TRs and TMs
>no battle gimmicks like megas, dynamax, or Z moves
>bring back features that had been cut, like Dexnav, Following Pokémon, etc.
>ability to turn off tutorials in the options menu
>Battle Frontier and Gym Leader rematches in post-game
>two rivals, one is the obligatory friendly rival and one is a douchebag like Silver
>overworld and grass encounters like SwSh and routes separated into subareas like SM
>All Pokémon are at least usable if not catchable
>has a multi-year development cycle

black2/white2 gameplay with sun/moon character designs and diamond/pearl pokemon designs

Open world Emerald with the best QoL features and side content from all the games so far. Actual Sugimori artstyle, no retarded outlineless textured models. All Pokémon up to that point (minus half the Galar Dex cause fuck 'em). I would never ask for another game after that.

Basically Emerald in terms of features like battle frontier and a contestlike side mode but with a few totem battles spread throughout and the "gyms" of the game are full fledged Zeldalike temples filled with puzzles, pathways, and trainers.

>PLA overworld and capture mechanics but improved with actual dynamics between the Pokémon and the overworld and focus on predator/prey relationships between Pokémon in the wild
>higher focus on capturing and Dex filling as well, time to get more than just one page of Dex info, catching Pokémon should be more involved than just throwing bait, we should be able to study migratory patterns in order to discover when certain Pokémon will appear, etc

this is the kind of depth that I missed in PLA that kept it from being great. and it's a damn shame because you see it all over the anime, in spin-offs like Snap, hell even the very dex entries allude to these predatory interactions between them, so it's not like they didn't know...

Pic related but with a budget.

Something like Majora's Mask, where you can blast through the story really quickly, but the sidequests are where the real meat of the game is.
Although Majora's Mask gets really easy the more sidequests you do. I'd like it if the game adjusts its difficulty and gets harder as a reward. That way the stupid kids with ADHD can just blast through the game on easy mode, and the real challenge is something you have to knowingly opt into.
Examples would be like helping a gym leader find their lost ace and they're harder as a result, or helping 2 gym leaders settle an argument and they challenge you together as a double battle with a synergistic team, or trading a really strong Pokemon to your rival who keeps using that Pokemon.
