Think the furthest I got in one sitting was like 1400 in 1v1 since matches only take like 2-3 turns on average and you could slip past lower elo by just having a counter for FEAR

I haven't really touched G8's comp, be it VGC or Smogon's formats.
The events at launch and Dynamax really soured it for me this time around. That being said, I am hoping that G9 is at least slightly better.

Gen 9, like all gens, will start out better than gen 8, then the dex will be expanded and it'll get worse, and then the restricted legendaries will be allowed back in and it'll all be the same shit once again.
Possibly even worse, but that's assuming GF manages to outdo themselves with Zacian.
