Just finished the main storyline, caught the sword dog. First Pokemon game since RSE. Felt like utter shit to play, "3D" world adds nothing noteworthy. Gyms having challenges was a surprise and a bit of fun. Other than that, stinky game.

Gloria is maybe a top 5 main Pokegirl (Dawn, May, and Hilda are clearly better, iffy on Rosa and Serena). That being said, S/S are clearly the worst mainline Pokemon games and it's not even close.
Gen 8 is the first generation I haven't bought a single Pokemon game from, and I'm happier without having to suffer from each game being shittier than the last. Here's to Gen 9 being even shittier than Gen 8.
