GF likes to take things away then add them back with a bit of a twist later on. I see dynamax as a sort of break from megas and when they add them back people will be more hyped to see them since they've been gone for a while.

I doubt it, they've yet to commit to a gimmick for more than a generation and all the side material is still pushing megas which is still the most successful gimmick.
