I love the line as it is, but I miss him

I cling to the hope that he might be revived as a Porygon3 split evo

Yes.

I doubt it, considering he was based on some already existing Japanese mascot

I just wish the evo mechanic wasn't trade-dependent. Every time I replay platinum I have to hack-evolve porygon and it bothers me

Piss off furry

I will die on the hill that they should've never been Normal-types.
This is for the best families, not the worst ones.

Butchered line you mean?
>OG Porygon
Meant to be type conversion shenanigans
>Porygon2
STALL TOXIC STALL TOXIC STALL TOXIC STALL TOXIC
>Porygon Z
Unga bunga glass canon

Unbelievably based
This is now a Porygon thread

I like Normal type also being for weird and out-there Pokemon rather than just "bad" Pokemon. Like, in Magic the Gathering, there are 5 colors of mana but then colorless mana, also. Colorless mana is mostly used for the game's equivalent of Steel types, with Normals being White or Green instead, but there's also Eldrazi, these eldritch monstrosities who go and destroy worlds and shit, who happen to be totally colorless. I like that sort of deal - Deoxys and Mew should both be normal type.

The Japanese mascot came out after the Beta Porygon 2
It's a funny coincidence

Yes. Possibly Electric/Psychic for Porygon and especially Porygon2 due to its associations with space, and Electric/Bug for Porygon-Z. I understand that Porygon is Normal because its "thing" was supposed to be changing type through Conversion, and changelings tend to be Normal-types, but that characterization fell into the background pretty quickly while its status as a computer-generated entity is what everyone remembers it for (that and the seizures). Even then, that infamous episode was named "Electric Soldier Porygon" so I doubt they never considered giving it the Electric type originally.
I don't think Normal should be for "bad" Pokemon either, there's plenty of bruisers that are Normal-type because they're also really close to being normal animals, in addition to the things that fall into the Normal type because they're too generalist to be tied down to just one type. The Porygon line has always been depicted with a strong affinity to Electric and Psychic attacks, and they should've gotten a type combo to reflect that.

>doesnt mega evolve into missingno or M
wasted potential

Ruined it

Because it triggers OLM

The Porygon is so unbelievably based it's unreal, part of me is glad it's banned from the anime so it'll never become an overhyped shillmon
