I gotta say I really love Golurk, it feels powerful, ancient and mysterious, especially with that little "skirt" thingy that really cement the "Roman", "old civilisation" idea.

my favorite pokémon is Rhydon, not only because it's a male only species and looks especially cute when it shrinks to get into its pokéball, but also because it comes from the best generation.

Golurk always reminded me of an ancient vase that grew limbs. The "skirt" is just the bottom of said vase.

Gen 4 had some of the ugliest shoehorned evolution designs in the series. With convoluted methods for evolving said pokemon.
