Where my stackers at?

is buying a one gram bar a good idea for someone totally new to gold other than the odd coin

not really mate, you get raped on the premiums with fractional.
save up a bit and get a decent chunk or a sov.

/pmg/ how should I store all the random copper coins I've accumulated through Ebay purchases?
I'm thinking of buying a Mason Jar or a small vase to hold them, but I'm open to suggestions.

What year's the trime?

what's a good starter size? 5 grams?

an air-tight container that you've purged with something like Preserve Spray (CO2 and Nitrogen in a can).
Oxygen moggs copper.

mason jar sounds like a decent container .
that way you can see the shiny metal through the glass

premiums on 4 9s gold get sensible around the half ounce mark.
a Sov (0.2534 t/oz) is around 4% premium.

Most of the coins are technically bronze (I think most of them are 3% tin or something) so they won't tarnish like pure Copper does.
I'm leaning towards that, but a nice glazed vase full of copper would make a nice display piece too.

>0.2534 t/oz
0.2354*

Damn that's someones life savings. I can't wait to be 90 years old and do the same with my stack. Hopefully whoever finds it doesn't report it to some gay government agency.
Another plan of mine is to spend silver dollars at McDonald's and shit when I'm an old man just to confuse wagies.

where can i get some coins from medieval europe

>how should I store all the random copper coin
On a string of course

if you see a sale you can get 10 or 20 grams for decent prices on places like sd bullion and bgasc

otherwise , lowest premiums on 1 ozt

what kind of time period? if you're talking about Brit coins, you don't want anything earlier than Henry VII (fakes, etc)

i dont know , anywhere netween 900 and 1800
im more interested in germany

Hmmm, dunno really. Never really looked into them. Of course, "Germany" as a country is a relatively new creation. Maybe Prussian or Austrian coins might be a better scout? Failing that, Holy Roman Empire coins could be deemed Germanic I guess?

Yotsuba soon

sorry to confuse you so greatly by not naming all of the dutchies individually

>anywhere netween 900 and 1800

That's a pretty broad range of coins, technically a Maria Theresia Thaler fits your description.

Very nice treasure box

yes

you didn't confuse me, it's just when you say "medieval" germany, you're describing something that didn't exist in the sense of the word you're using.

Where can I get a proper treasure box like that that to put my gold and bills?

This is one of the coolest pictures I have ever seen... absolutely worthy of my possession...

Hope so, how long ago even was the campaign for that round? I want mah gilded for funny pictures. Also not a chance in hell am i buying from that guy again at this pace, dude's almost as slow as Limited run games

>Sir the McCricket Supreme costs $1.9 Million Dollars, the coin you handed me only says "One Dollar" on it.

I wish I was around in the 50s and 60s when the old school treasure hoards were still popping up across the old west...

I can only imagine how cool the guy who owned this was.

The coin shop will often give me weird change such as Ikes, B anthony dollars and two dollar bills. It's been fun to confuse wagies with those, I've gotten some strange looks.

I got mine off of ebay searching for used wooden/pirate boxes. I think most were made as jewelry boxes
