To be real with you OP most fun I had was working at Mcdonalds (in EU idk or care about NA) because my coworkers were actually a team and tried to max fun over work anytime. We used to take each others shifts over on a short notice, fight absurdly drunk and disrespectful customers, weekly/ monthly go to the club with the crew. And sometimes even just hang out and smoke weed, drink, lounge with a hookah all activites depending on the weather.
That was 5 years ago I now have graduated with a engineering degree and work for a big water waste solution firm and let me tell you I wanna resign any other day. Everybody is competing, "all for one" but in reality if you fuck up its ALL your fault, gossiping behind your back and you know it, complaining about trivial and petty shit that can be fixed without announcing it every startup meeting, threatening to leave the company because "Samantha got promo but I work here longer".

Finally someone gets it. You aren't miserable at your job because it sucks, you are just a miserable person. Most of the people here could take any dream job they want and they would be complaining just as much within two weeks. I used to work at a grocery store. There was this retarded girl who would sack groceries. She was the happiest person I had ever met. Never once complained about her job. Everything you think makes you happy in life--money, a nice house, a relationship--she never had a shot at accumulating. Yet she was as happy as a person could be. You choose to either be happy and have a good time or be a cynical miserable fuck in a bitchy mood all the time. Having a different job, or house, or amount of money doesn't change that.
