So what’s the best place in the us to live
Let’s say you had a 300k budget for a house and could work remotely where would you go

just my personal choice, I would go as far away from population centers as I could
I'd also make sure the state had good laws at it relates to homesteading and had low property tax
Wyoming is a nice place but I'd want to grow food and Wyoming is more suited toward ranching than agriculture. It is a good example however of a state with laws that would satisfy my wants

This. I chose the Ozarks though.

Florida

Good amount of cities to choose from
>Jacksonville
>Orlando
>Tampa
>Naples
>Miami

No cold weather
Value will always go up because people will always want to retire there
Low taxes
Based governor

Probably something like this:

300k is not gonna buy you much of a house in any of those cities sadly, would definitely be the best option if OP wasn't so poor

Personally if I could go full remote wfh, I'd go out to Idaho, get a ranch in the mountains far from the bullshit, sparse population of Republicans so the state will probably be ok into the future and much more affordable than anything on the coast

Every other boomer moved to Florida, it's as expensive as the west coast nowadays, or at least getting there elsewise.

not the USA, roflmao

Just bought a house in northeast Ohio, cash, 250k. I will miss the mountains but won't miss a mortgage.

>I will miss the mountains
Go sailing instead

>ohio
Sorry for your loss user

>2017 - $63,900
>2022 - $199,000

Columbus sucks ass

They might have bought the raw land in 2017 and built a cabin on it.

Suburbs of NC. As long as I can leave this hellscape known as the North East.

Why do you dislike the north east? I’m looking at buying in either CT, ME or VT.

>Wyoming is a nice place but I'd want to grow food
but what is a greenhouse?

CT and VT are run by liberals, CT is literally just a satellite of NYC run by the same satanic democrats, VT is more hippies who are less evil but way more fucking retarded

Maine is actually pretty great, whitest state in the union

>1 acre
>200k
If I'm living in the woods it's because I don't want neighbors up my ass.

You're not getting shit in Florida for 300k and definitely not getting anywhere near Miami unless you want to live in the ghetto which is something anyone with sense and white skin would already know so I'm suspicious you're black

>2020
>Live 2 hours outside Toronto
>Wife and I see house with lot like your pic for $350k Leaf bux
>Didn't buy it because we didn't want to get the first house we viewed
>1 month later and prices are exponentially increasing
>Get outbid constantly,
>People are putting cash offers with no conditions on homes built in the 1850s (Canada was founded 1867 mind you)
>Similar houses are now going for $700k
>Will be rentoids unless Canada's housing market crashes
>If it does crash, so will the Canadian economy since housing is 8% of our GDP, more than americas in 2007
If we started our search 1 month earlier none of this would have happened. We need to start revolting. Ameribros give us your strength, Canada is a culture less nation of weaklings.

There are plenty of small towns where you could live well with a 300k house. Mine cost me 290 and it has 4 bed 4 bath. with 3k sq ft.

China is falling apart. They will sell their 3 homes in Canada.

I would go to one of those scenic resort towns. With a 300k I would be limited to the less popular places. Chattanooga looks really nice.
