I always cope on a daily basis with the idea of not being able to make it in my lifetime and be stuck in a 9-5 until I die of some random illness. A-Are there any decent ways to at least mitigate this problem?

Honest answer here.
You need to find a passion outside of work that you put your creative energy in. Here's some ideas:
>sculpting you ideal body in the gym
>writing the stories, dialogues, and dreams you think up in your head
>buy a guitar
>buy a piano
>buy a gun and find out how it works
>go on a camping trip
>find the nearest outdoor track and start running in the fresh air
>go stargazing and try to put together constellations/planet positions
>buy NODS and explore the mysterious and lonesome dark
>make a board game, playtest it with friends and family, and improve it
>try cooking a serious meal and experimenting with the flavors
>devote yourself to a fandom, making art, fanfiction, or even fangames
>take the LOOMIS pill and artmaxx
>paint a painting every week and read up on how to improve it
>find a comfy fishing spot grab a six pack and fish, even if its just catch and release
>start a dream journal and try to interpret your subconscious
>test the boundaries of esotericism with meditation, tulpa creation, and remote viewing
I would advise against consumptive hobbies like reading, video games, and film. You can do that on your rest time, but your productive time should be about you, rather than somebody else's works.
Its all about finding something to look forward to. Man wasn't made for simply work and rest. We are capable in all matters so that we may have the luxury of enjoying all this beautiful life has to offer.
