Why do modern bosses feel they have to hire someone they'd be friends with. Do none of them realize there's a difference between work and play. I don't care if I lack charism, I will work hard. Why doesn't that matter any more?

because they've lowered their hiring standards to just about anybody with a modicum of related experience.
so of course they're gonna prioritize someone who's pleasant to be around.

No one wants to work with an autistic incel freak, even if he's good at his job. Sorry.

I am highly qualified and experienced over 20 years and top of class postgraduate. All of the job adds I look at have very long lists of essentially products attached, some of which are relatively obscure or transient which the advertisers expect candidates to have experience in. It is not uncommon to see requests for experience in product in years to be greater than the product has existed due to the extreme incompetence of the hiring and recruiting staff. Hiring and recruiting staff and 'human resources' are degrading and revolting to deal with as they are inept, incompetent, worthless and have no idea what they are doing. I have decided to neet for this recession.

>Work environments are high school and high school is a popularity contest
This is untrue. People who may have been very popular at school have a difficult time adjusting to the workplace. The only quality that matters is to be able to do something which is needed which someone else cannot do.

Well not really. The day goes a lot faster when you work with people who are on the same page as you. The hardest job I ever worked was the one where I hated the team. Hated going in, hated working together on things, started hating the work. Had to leave before I hit someone. On the team of people who are very relaxed, all eager to help each other out. Never bullshit tension or bitching about who's responsibility x,y or z is. Every pulls there wait and will happily share information and to give training in Specialist field.

Teams have always been a poor way to achieve the best result. The reality is that one exceptional individual will product a better solution to any problem than any team can.

>t.never had a job

Well, I have, at bluechips and for 20 years and the ONLY think that matters is to be able to do something that someone else cannot and is needed.

I think your problem is that the work you do is work that many other people can do or it is work that is not in great demand. Many people have strong moral barriers to killing people freelance which creates a shortage. You could try that if you are of limited ability.

That should matter and it can matter sometimes. But being charismatic and handsome is a surefire way to make more money earlier in your career, with way less effort.

Its calling playing the game user, you'll never get ahead of the brownnosers just by being good at your job.

just like the song says

Sounds like a nice way to get raped

>your problem is your part of the masses. Let's ignore the masses and cherrypick instead
Lol. Typical business roles have this shit too fyi. Always some stupid ass social game you have to play. It's typical in jobs where you have to be very social.

>I am highly qualified and experienced over 20 years
>top of class postgraduate.
but you graduated 20+ years ago lol. who cares about your academic standing.
>All of the job adds I look at have very long lists of essentially products attached
used to for real be that way and job reqs still have a grocery list for candidates, it's just not really followed/enforced.
>Hiring and recruiting staff and 'human resources' are degrading and revolting to deal with as they are inept, incompetent, worthless and have no idea what they are doing.
that doesn't sound like someone who has had multiple jobs over the year.
it sounds more like a butthurt fresh graduate.
no, HR doesn't know much, but their job is to find bodies to fill seats, not create products.

Maybe they just dont enjoy working around antisocial freaks
