It doesn't feel as rare since we get a bunch of new Dragons every gen unlike when I got into pokemon and we only had Dragonite and Kingdra. They also obviously got nerfed because of Fairies but they are still in the top 3-4 best types.

It's still one of the only types that made people so salty that they made an entire type specifically to fuck it over. Only, unlike in Psychic's case, they also made said counter type the most overpowered type in the game as well just to be sure.
And then dragons just started using steel/poison moves to fuck with them anyway.
