It really just boils down to the fact that the manga is poorly promoted
The ashnime community reached a point where it's this self sustaining community
This manga doesn't really have that because it's overshadowed by the ashnime show

You can but its usually found in store only. Mostly because buying online is fucking annoying when it comes to buying manga in general unless its a very mainstream series sold at mega bookstores such as Boarders or Barnes and Noble or rare occasion places like Target or Walmart in the book section. Even then, you have to go to the store directly because their stock is normally not posted/purchasable online.

I've honestly only seen physical copies of the Adventure manga enmass at the local manga shop in SF Japan town. Besides that it's usually recently current volumes or RBY series.

I´ve only read them until b&w and enjoyed them so far, but if I had to pick just one I´ll go for Ruby & Sapphire

This. RS was kino for Pokespe standards, the arcs before were kinda meh and the ones after after RS were really bad imo.
