another thing to consider is the price of related goods too; even with the drop in silver will groceries or gasoline correct in line with it? would be crazy to see silver/gold so decoupled from the price of oil or food

personally i think only 24k gold, proof coins, or collector coins (kookaburras, swans, other high premium stuff) are worth putting in capsules, nobody gives a shit about the rest

if its a round, it doesnt matter much, but gov backed coin or seminumismatic fetch nicer price on egay if its kept in good condition. nobody wants a scratched tarnished queensbeast

I rummage though other peoples garbage every day and iphones, tablets, etc are always being thrown into the non-recycling which ends up in landfill or incinerated. Although they only contain a small amount of gold each, the sheer amount of phones being thrown away across the world must account for a not insignificant amount of gold. How much gold is being destroyed every day vs how much being newly mined?
