You remember the Battle Arena? How would you score matches if scoring became a general feature for all battles?
How lame would a Pokemon game in the mainline vein be that didn't allow you to battle? Like, you could only do alternative stuff like Contests, Pokeathlon, etc.
Girls don't really care about battling, so what game modes could be implemented into Pokemon as an alternative to capture their interest while still staying true to the spirit of the series?
