I thought it only appearing on Friday was retarded. Unless you started the game on a Thursday then by the time you get Surf and it turns to Friday then you'd either already have a Water type with Surf on your team, be way past it level wise (20), or both. I like Lapras but it's in such a weird spot due to being a weekly event. If it was weekly AFTER you first approach it then more people will use it, but having to schedule your playthrough around a single Pokemon is retarded. Same with Scyther/Pinsir in the bug catching contest
