Average at best

After the 3 hour tutorial, you get about 30 minutes of fun before shit gets repetitive. The boss fights are a joke and the new battle system is embarrassing. Navigating menus and tackling side missions is a mind-numbing, cumbersome chore, and yet fans will defend it because "muh older audience". They tried something new and it didn't work so much as it lazily flopped over the finish line. This series is dead.

it either needed way less dumbass story with more interesting and unique tasks; or way more fights, maybe ditch the "warden" title and have multiple warden style fights per area, but even the warden fights were boring. typical "great concept, rushed and wasted the potential" Game Freak.

I think the game just isn’t for you, so you don’t have to like it. I love the world building and lore rather than the story. I love the environment and animals so I loved these games. To each their own
