At the MINIMUM, they're not bringing Porygon back until everyone who was alive to possibly see the episode is DEAD so no one can be offended about it anymore, so that's basically around the year 2100.

No? Porygon isn't guilty of anything. They could easily put some sugar coated apologies in memory of hurt children and what they've done to prevent such another occurenece and everyone on twitter would be like: "omg that's wholesome", "can we talk about how cute that is?", "I like how they resepcted those poeple".
