Do people here hate "Genwun pandering" so much that they view getting Kanto starters in X/Y as a bad thing?

this board is full of retarded zoomers so yes

i found it pretty dumb

If this HAD to be done it should have been postgame

OK but name 1 good reasoning as why gen 6 starters didnt get mega forms BUT gen 1 did.

It wasn't just that. It was that they got the regional gimmick and NOT A SINGLE GEN VI MON OUTSIDE OF DIANCIE, A FUCKING MYTHICAL. And then Korrina and the Lucario worship made it even worse.

Yeah

Gen 6 starters were good enough without megas.

>restricting Pokemon to the postgane us good because......

Zoomer pls go

It was bad because it overshadowed the Kalos starters, who got nothing (outside of Greninja getting a donutsteel form a gen later).

>it should have been after you're already done the game
Why?

Venusaur was also good enough without Megas, but Venusaur doesn't sell. Charizard does. So they had to appease the people whose favorite Pokemon was a PU shitmon with a generic design.

There was nothing good about this

>It was bad because it [fanfic]
ok

Why would they give a regional gimmick where the entire point is seeing new designs to designs that are already new?

XY is the "remember Kanto!?" Generation. Viridian forest, snorlax blocking path and KANTOOOOO starters all very early game.

>not giving the gen 6 gimmick to the gen 6 mons is... a le good thing!
kindly off yourself.

>having more Pokemon choice is bad
>being able to use Kanto starters pre-E4 for the first time outside a Kanto game is bad

>Flavor text
>Generation VII
>Defeating an opposing Pokémon strengthens the Pokémon's bond with its Trainer, and it becomes Ash-Greninja. Water Shuriken gets more powerful.

It makes me uncomfortable that they call it Ash-Greninja. It sort of blurs the line between game and anime.

whatever your opinions on Kalos is, their starters deserved the chance to shine in their own games
Sword and Shield sorta learned from this and gave you a Charmander and bulbasaur/squirtle after the credits rolled

It's calling "selling the idea." Which is why I'm glad they didn't make the same mistake in Alola by giving all of the starters their own signature Z-Moves. And awesome ones at that.

>Why would they give a regional gimmick where the entire point is seeing new designs to designs that are already new?
Good question

So what, you want every pokemon to be handed to you at the beginning of the game or else its "restrictive"?
What retarded logic.

Literally all those are either non-issues or good things.
