OP btfo in the first post hahaahahhahaah

you never watched a land before time?

>Behold, A Man!

Yeah, sauropods were able to rear up on their hind legs to graze on tree canopies far above other herbivorous dinosaurs.

armaldo btfo

both gen 3 fossilmons were excluded, and yet Armaldo was the only one you remembered.

There are people on this board who have never seen Jurassic Park.
There are people on this board who weren't alive when Jurassic Park came out.

Actually it's Bidoof's ancestor that is the king.

Most anons were born later. Do you expect the majority here to be 30+?

Rearing would be a threat display if anything. Rearing in diplodocids was very likely something that happened but not for food, both because they wouldn't be able to pump blood to their brains, but also because the high up foods were the Macranarian's niche. The long necks on sauropods were used much like the trunk of an elephant, a grabber arm that allows them to eat large areas of did without moving their massive body.
Aurorus looks nothing like an Amargasaurus even remotely, but based on the names is supposed to be one. Dicraeosaurids were seemingly the low browsers of the sauropods of the time, they were considerably smaller and rearing might not be very useful if it was possible. They probably used the huge number of extremely large spikes on their necks as a threat display.
Of course Aurorus doesn't have these spikes and has sails instead for some reason even though icicle spikes would have made a lot of sense, and has a more Macranarian style neck posture, so we can't really apply actual dinosaur science to it and can mostly just go "sauropods should have been technically able to rear up, babies seemingly ran around on only their back legs, so rearing Auroros isn't crazy"

For what it's worth, Anorith is on the key art for the Pokemon Fossil Museum campaign.

Why are there so little fossil dino mons? We need a shit ton this gen. More ancient power evos as well.

checked and same user. Fossilmons are the best, I wish we can get more than two like last gen but please no gimmick this time

Sorry user, Pokemon is above cool monster dinosaur or Kaiju designs now. Has to either be very goofy or strange looking, or it have some clever gimmick to its design youll be like "oh that's clever I get it" and afterb getting it still be left with a subpar monster design compromised for the sake of its visual gimmick.
We're no longer in the era of designs unapologetic about being cool and appealing to young boys. We're in that sorta American mindset where everything has to be somehow ironic

Better look at the skeletons

Wasting fossils on dinosaurs is dumb because there are already normal Pokemon who are dinosaurs

>aurorus has such big anime eyes that its sclerotic rings are also huge and thin
Neat detail
