a few shinies to report some last week, starting with my 4th member of my white 2 team
also started a soulsilver file and got this guy, which is unfortunately the one starter i already have. it's fine though because i wasn't planning to use my starter anyway
finally i got an extremely fast first phase done for aipom headbutts
not really exciting but i got it the night i started the hunt so no complaints

Finally got a rotom from an outbreak.
Also did a buizel outbreak, didn't get a shiny and wasn't fussed on resetting for it.
Flew away and just down river, random shiny buizel.

Treecko in ORAS, up to ~1750. and have phased 5 male Combee in outbreaks so far with no female. The mirelands seem better as it seems to spawn 15 of them btw.

I found this alpha Pachi in the first outbreak I checked. first alpha I've got.
Welp that didnt take long. Even got a Shiny Stantler a minute before the Chansey.
Next hunt depends on what outbreak spawns while I'm trying to get that damn Ramanas Combee
i wish the shiny calculator wold give you some rough chances instead of saying "you got 856 eggs until 90 percent" i want motivation dammit

Well I guess I can at least tell you the math I did.
=1-((1-[shiny rate])^[number of shiny rolls])
For masuda method with shiny charm the rate is 8/4096.
And afaik PLA is the first with reroll mechanics (i.e. can choose the same ID number twice) rather than just generating additional IDs (no duplicates) and choosing the best one, so number of shiny rolls should just be number of eggs hatched.
So for instance after 100 eggs you have a 17.75% chance of at least one.

i cant start shiny hunting in this game because i cant find the last wisp in the icelands and i refuse to look up a guide

are the odds 1/3 for each? i havent been able to find info on it but it feels like spearow is more common
