I wish PLA gave me a reason to adventure with a proper team. I mean I like the Dex forcing me to use a variety of Pokémon in order to complete their entries as I'm using Pokémon I've never used before. But it'd be nice if there were still gyms and trainer battles so I had reason to have a coherent and persistent team for that sort of content. I don't feel like I have any bros in PLA because no one has stuck around for longer than it took to get their Dex entry to level 10.
Any PLA players actually using a persistent team?

I only used a persistent team of 3 for most of the game and only switched to the same 5-6 for the harder, later battles. Not like you're using a lot of time to return to base camp, so as long as you're not already farming for the shiny charm, you can always resort to only train 3 pokemon for dex entries at a time.
If you are farming for the shiny charm though, then all saved time is worth gold. Before that just enjoy the game.

Keep hunting with Ride Ursaluna, and continue hitting up Space-Time Distortions. Surefire way to harness a fine quantity of evolutionary material, though I am unsure if Black Augurites and Peat Blocks spawn in those. Best of luck in your search for the Peat.
On that note, been thinking of using PL:A to evolve some Pokemon for usage in Shining Pearl, considering how difficult or outright impossible it is to get anyone cool throughout BDSP. Just have to choose when it would be "appropriate" to send myself a whole third-stage Pokemon... whenever Game Freak updates everything, anyhow.

You can also always farm the backpacks of shitters that got heemed and buy evo items from the trading lady. There seems to always be a constant stream of them to retrieve

Eh, I don't care about shinies. I think they generally look worse and the only Pokemon I like who have a good shiny are Gyarados and Toxicroak. I guess I just felt like I had to swap my entire team constantly in order to play at all efficiently in order to complete the dex from a story perspective and never really got attached to any of my Pokemon in PLA.
I hope they bring out some kind of battle tower DLC which encourages me to develop a team of Pokemon with whom I'm actually attached. I genuinely like PLA but I've always enjoyed the aspect of becoming attached to your Pokemon and I just haven't found that in PLA yet.
