Because it was the only time where Masuda did a good job without relying on later directors to fix up his mess by adding a postgame (Emerald) or fixing the piss poor Pokemon distribution, slowness, and gameplay in general (Platinum).

I accepted that reality a long time ago. At least I'm not one of the retards complaining about the supposedly bad level curve or lack of good mons in Johto (nor about Platinum being an inferior version of Emerald, and this goes for that faggot who's always spamming that shit).

BW1 is worse than 2 but it's still a worthwhile entry. Half of what makes BW2 such a great experience is how it's free to improve on BW1 as a full blown sequel instead of a third version.

Gen 3 should be in the middle instead of Gen 4. But PLA should stay there too.

As long as you're not than we're all good my dude. Hoenn's never been my favorite but it's fun for sure and I love some of it's designs, also I adore the gamecube games, but most importantly: Gen 3 has been the backbone of romhacking and by extension so SO many great entries into the series made by fans. Gen 3 ends up being one of the most important gens as a result.

Same except I also like Kalos. It's a dip but coming off Unova and transitioning into 3D was guaranteed to be one despite the hype.
Alola is the true catastrophic crater in the franchise that can't be forgiven. Gen 8 could've pulled out of the crater but the fact there are still ~200 Pokemon banned from the Galar region is inexcusable.

Hoenn had the best Legendaries
Sinnoh had the best exploration
Unova had the best battling

I love gen 5, but there's something about the "completeness" feeling gen 4 has. Feels like they intended to end the series there if it weren't for being the biggest media sensation on earth. The dex is the perfect size that the world feels massive but not to the point that any Pokemon in the dex really feel ignored yet.

At least there are a decent number of Pokemon of each type to choose from in BW Unova. Unlike DP where you only have two fire type lines (with one being a starter, the other being a Kantomon), two ice type lines over several snow routes, and three electric type lines (with one being the Pikachu line, the other being the regional Pikaclone Pachirisu). The DP Dex is shit.
