It's amazing how much of a downgrade the Johto starters were compared to Kanto. Not a single one of these pieces of shit even approaches how cool and memorable Charizard, Venusaur, and Blastoise were. And people hold some kind of reverence for gen 2? You could argue the design but Meganium is objectively worse than Venusaur in any measurable way. It is much worse for attacking and can't even beat Venusaur in its intended niche because it doesn't get the moves it needs naturally
