Of all the ships people go on about, the only one that makes sense to me is Lana. She's as into battling as Ash, is skilled enough at other stuff to impress Ash and even was able to subdue a Legendary pokémon poisoned and enraged on her own.
What did the rest do? Hang in the back, act the girly-girl and ultimately let their feelings for Ash get in the way of showing their true personality to him.

I still like Ash x Misty the most. But Ash is never getting with anyone as long as Pokemon games are still being released. Just in the realm of fun fanmade content.
