Until the administration comes out and openly acknowledges the economic issues going on and stops fucking around with Russia and Ukraine, you may as well assume that this is all according to plan which means you should not only expect things to continue dropping, but you should assume they are working behind closed doors to make them all drop further. When the administration acknowledges there is a problem and actively begins trying to fix things, then and only then, can you maybe begin to speculate with long positions. And even then, your bet is on the capacity of this administration to manage a crisis that is shaping up to be as bad or worse than the Global Financial Crisis. There are layers upon layers of reasons that you should be short right now. There will come a time to be long, but it isn't even remotely the time yet.

My oppinion is that you're giving them a lot of credit, and they deserve none.
They are not competent enough to have been doing anything but buying votes, and those influencing them buying access to the money printer. The banking system is a disgrace to the United States of America's true goals as an experiment in self governance, and printing money is criminal.
The right thing to do is destroy the home equity lines of credit by raising rates, destroy home equity by bursting these ridiculous asset bubbles, and give the productive labor of the USA back their value and create opportunity for that labor (through FORCED private sector investment) to produce value for their OWN consumption.
If they try to pull a war stunt or whatever with the deficit the way it is, the civil unrest from hyperinflation will make that avenue fail instantly. They are trapped as well. Time to talk to the kids.
