I sold my house this spring and finally got the payout from it last week. I bought 200k worth of SPY on Thursday, and now I'm feeling pretty sad. What should I do with my last 100k?

Maybe we could discuss this on discord, i have a business idea! But its super secret.
An exit bag.
Hmmm, the id is green.. You seem trustworthy!
Start a business unless you already have one then work on expansion scaling. Businesses that sell goods is unironically the #1 hedge. Retro games, computer parts, etc. are easy to get into examples.
Puts on everything.
Don't steal
I am trustworthy! I can prove it. This post will end in a number bewteen 0 and 9. Sorry, i have a bad habit of telling the truth :)
Do you want to invest in my idea?

>buying SPY while interest rates are bound to increase
why?
Just keep the other 100K in cash for capital gains taxes and for 8 months down the line when we're certainly closer to the end of this bear market. It will look like it's recovering around August but I think we're going to have a rollercoaster ride until next year, so best to play it safe.
Yay, whats your username? (I have a ton of friend requests I've ignored)
prepare to feel even worst dude. People that bought into the stock market in the late 90s/early 2000s did not break even until 15 years later
Your property investment, meanwhile, would undoubtedly have beaten inflation in the medium-long term, even counting in the taxes

I had to move for work. I make a pretty decent salary though, so I'll keep on DCAing.

this is a hard truth. Not to mention the people who bought in the 1980s during the +13% interest rates they had back then.
Not recieved it, lol i spelt it wrong the first time. In my defence its 02:39 here :s
wait until 3 oclock and buy 0 day spy calls at the money
Sleepy, its late here, and i cant sleep. Just drinking cups of milky tea and looking at random stuff
This. You can usually afford 2 months of rent and payroll plus stock for a grocer. Never underestimate the market for slums and 50 cent markups for people with no transportation.
