Do pokeballs brainwash a Pokémon...

Do pokeballs brainwash a Pokémon? Why else would they be trying to kill you one moment but act all buddy buddy after being caught? Whose idea was to keep freshly caught wild Pokémon inside the village if they were just aggressive before being caught?

They admit defeat and respect your authority

Game mechanics. 4/5 gen made it clear that pokemon that engage in battle WANT to be catched.
PLA helped with that saying Arceus WANTS People and Pokemon to coexist and learn toghether

You asserted dominance, its something you need to do with livestock when they're getting uppity
You flip them on their backs and pin them and then they show submission to you as the alpha there after

I think this is just one of those lore/gameplay divergences, they probably start off pretty wild still. But if you really had to tame them, tame each and every mon and it went anywhere near realistically at a realistic pace, that would be dull as shit.

Master and student. A sign of respect. They recognize you as stronger and want to be lead so they can become strong too.

They can break the ball and free themselves if they feel like it, according to gen 5

But isn't it a bit harsh by forcing Pokémon to be caught for it to happen? One of the warden even makes a comment how you're basically just forcing Pokémon to be caught using the pokeballs while their methods involve actually bonding with a Pokémon and respecting their status as wild animals. It's made even more clear with the fact that some Pokémon won't attack you immediately unless they assert you're a threat or Pokémon who run away from you. Also heavy balls and baiting Pokémon are also a thing. None of it is done with a Pokémon consent.

Yes. Ashes Starly was trying to maul him and his Aipom. Then it immediately acts like they were best friends after he catches it.

People tame crazy animals every day. It’s a mix of providing a constant source of food + protection from the elements + Pokémon being sentient enough to the point of psychically linking with humans and being overall smarter than animals. If you raise a bear cub from the time its born it’s going to imprint on you.

Also the footprint guy literally says wild Pokemon feel jealousy seeing trainers and tamed mons bond

In anime canon wild pokemon are apparently jealous of trained pokemon

The wardens are useless hillbillies who get proven wrong over and over again by (You) and need help to quell the nobles.

I miss when they were still treated as dumb animals, now you have faggot shit like oh Lopunny married humans in the past.

And that warden literally only has a Munchlax. Pokéballs mean you can bong with hundreds if not thousands of Pokémon, not just one or the few that you can keep outside as pets. Also there’s nothing stopping a Braviary from picking off the munchlax and eating it or something,

I'm mostly talking about Arceus before trainers were a thing. It's mostly wilderness with few clan settlements and the new colonizers from Galar, there's no established trainers to be jealous of since pokeballs are a pretty new invention. In Arceus wild pokemon are actually trying to attack you for stepping in their territory just like a vicious wild animal would and it's heavily implied they kill people too. So why are they so buddy buddy when they were trying to kill you a second ago for stepping into their turf?

Arceus designed them with an instinct to shrink down when hit by a spherical container and to then be submissive to whoever owned that container.

What a shitty god

The point of the game is that slightly older Dawn/Lucas post their adventures is sent back in time to be a whiz kid at taming and catching Pokémon because they come from a time when it’s common. It’s like sending someone like Elon Musk from now to the past 100 years ago and having everyones mind blown when the common person starts inventing/innovating shit that’s common place today. The player character isn’t just some guy they’re a champion.

>implying Musk would know shit about doing anything by himself

This.

And Pokemon have been shown to not respect their trainers, even in the games. Hence why ones above your gym leader don't listen.

That’s why you should always use heart balls because it makes them into brain dead bimbos. Mind fucking is god tier kink
