engineering, probably.

>Road that is only used by men on foot and horses
>Road that is used by cars
Wow user, I wonder why the new road wears out quicker

Blame the effective managers for this, not the engineers

Horse drawn wagons can easily weigh as much as cars . Modernity fucking sucks. Just admit it, loser

road salt, trucks, plows, semi trucks, temp cycles, tons of cars, etc.
at least asphalt is recycled, sometimes on site.

Someone figured out that if the economy is always growing then spending less money now and more in the long run is better than spending loads of money now. Oh and someone else figured out slavery was bad, hence the increase in cost.

Engineers are even more useless to society than landlords. Why can't they just admit they're basically just another "middle management" position? They're basically nothing more than vaguely defined "coordinators" who take credit for the work of others. The only "work" they put in is the planned obsolescence. Knowing how to include planned obsolescence in your projects and products is not a skill.

A typical draft horse with a small carriage weighs more than a modern Chevy Camaro. The budweiser commercial weighs more than a king ranch f350.

the thing you fucking retards don't realize is they use the cheapest materials they can get and do shitty roads on purpose

1) save money
2) they'll call you again to fix the holes

doesn't take a genius
