no way

815. I have a credit card still active from 2007. So age of credit accounts is finally starting to be favored by the chosen class. Credit utilization is under 10 percent per month. And never missed a payment. I used to sign up for like 4-5 credit cards a year, meet minimum spend and then cancel them. Somehow that didn't seem to hurt the score at all.

All you need to do is start using credit as soon as possible. 18 years old I assume. Sign up for at least 3 cards per year for the first 4 years. That'll be 12 credit accounts after 4 years. Spend $1 on each of the cards once each year to keep them active. But keep one card as your daily spend card. Pay that card down (manually go in and pay it down on the app) every time the balance runs up above 10 percent of your credit limit. Setup all the credit cards to auto draft your checking account for payment in full every month. Never pay interest. Never be late. Get cash back. 2 percent on all spend. That's all that you ever need to know to have a 800+ credit score.

545 this time last year. Got a 6 figgie job, paid all my debt and opened up a credit card. Any tips to raise it faster?

3 cards a year is excessive but I more or less did that. Never even needed a student loan, car loan, or mortgage, and for a while I was 800+. Now it's down to just under that and I can't be assed to get it back up.
