Finally started going through the Alabaster Icelands today and got my last team member. Why does Game Freak keep confining Ice Types to late game?
At least apart from the other starters, Spiritomb, Lucario (which I'm trying to get), various Unown forms, and all legendaries not named Manaphy (and maybe Phione depending on whether or not you think it counts as a legendary), I've got every Pokemon.

I kind of rushed a bit to unlock all the areas so I didn’t explore thoroughly but I think this’ll be my final team unless I find something really interesting.

a bit disappointed my alakazam hasn't learned any psychic special attack besides confusion yet. at least i unlocked hyperbeam from the trainer girl.
also, for those effort values, do they affect how many stat points your pokemon get on every single level up or are they just flat buffs to the numbers? in other words, if i had two of the same pokemon with the same nature and pumped one of them up to 10 effort for every stat at level 5, then raised them both to 100, and then pumped the other mon's effort levels, would the first one has way higher stats or no?

just finished up palkia event. really happy w the team, and love h-typhlosion more than expected. though i hate having starters on main team. probably gonna swap him out with overquil and just have 3 poison types on the team.
