Still the objective best starter trio
Still the objective best starter trio
>dude...le animals....but overdesigned....
This and Johto's are the only 3/3 starter trios in the franchise. Maybe Kanto too now that I think about it. Gen 3 really was a dud.
MONSTER BAD
CARTOON ANIMAL GOOD
What?

Any starter after Samurott is poorly designed. Simple as.

Alpha torterra makes me happy every time I look at it.
>objective
go back to school
That's literally every starter since Gen 3
Eh. The final stages are really good but all the middle stages and most of the first stages are pretty bad.
I think Kanto wins, it's the only gen where all three are great in every stage of their lines.
I hate monkeys so no
Worst trio
In terms of starter trios as a whole (judging all three evolutions)
Gen 3 > Gen 2 > Gen 7 > Gen 4 > Gen 1 > Gen 6 > Gen 5 > Gen 8
Objectively speaking

Torterra is great, but I don't much care for the others. I think gen 1 is the only one where I really struggle to pick which starter I want to play with

I said Samurott, I MEANT Samurott.
Turtwig outshines the others too much to consider the others. Only Gen III had starters each of whom had equal value
eh, blaziken was a big mistake sure but the other two were pretty cool.
My objective and perfect taste makes it clear that the designs have declined over time.
gras and water great
fire suck
gen 1 and 3 have the best overall trios imo
