Just got an email from the U.S. Mint saying this 1oz gold coin was just released and available for purchase.
>$2,740
>gold
>1oz
What universe are these tards in where they think someone is going to pay $900 over spot for a 1oz gold coin?
Government Desperate for Funding
I mean people are buying bitcoins so I don’t think this is a stretch at all, user. Where have you been for the last 12 years?
Idiot detected.
>I mean people are buying bitcoins so I don’t think this is a stretch at all, user. Where have you been for the last 12 years?
>t. shiny rock bagholder for over 40 years.
Ever heard of numismatists? Special collections of coins have extra value, even nfts are the same minus any inherent value
>crypto holders seething lol
>crypto holders seething lol
>t. baggie for over 40 years
and? its not like anyone has been holding since 1980 holy shit. i wonder what Bitcoins 40 year spread will look like.
That's an awful lot of premium value for a coin that gets minted every year. You're paying an extra $900 because it says 2022.
Tard here, I bought one of these the other day, 900 dollars over spot.
That’s literally how most expensive collector’s items work. Just gotta know which ones have a chance appreciate and which don’t
Is there a specific reason you were willing to pay that? I am genuinely curious. For example, do you predict some sort of long-term increase in value above and beyond the price of the metal itself because of its minting?
Damn, I remember when I purchased like 5 of these a couple years ago and that must of come to just under 5k including taxes...
Fair enough. I'm fine buying gold, but Im not about to pay that much over spot for 1oz of gold. I can get almost 1.5oz for that price at most bullion dealers.
I have a lot of the standard ASE, AGE, APE, I wanted to start adding some unique pieces to my collection. I don't really think I'll make extra money off this.
>its not like anyone has been holding since 1980

THE COPE OF THIS SHINY ROCK BAGGIE HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
You faggots always act as if everyone bought the last ath from btc and is now 50 % down. Meanwhile most anons on Any Forums bought years ago and are still multiple x up. Meanwhile not a single shiny rock baggie made money in the last 10 years. Now back to your containment thread you delusional baggie.
That's as good of an answer as any I suppose. I guess as long as you get as much value from owning it, go for it.
Proof coins aren't sold or purchased for their bullion value. They are collectibles like pokemon or magic cards and they're minted at a higher quality with mirror finish compared to the bullion versions of these coins.
Proof coins also have much lower mintages which makes them scarcer.
>nevermind bitcoin is down 50%
ahh i see you addressed your own anxieties here
Thank you kind sir
>Ignores every argument like the cattle baggie he is
kek baggie.
You didn't even made a 2x in fucking 10 years. Meanwhile btc is still over 29000x up you fucking faggot
rode the bullrun and turned most of it into metals
quit being a faggot and acting like you have to choose one over the other
>crypto holders seething lol
>No wait I actualy was a crypto holder myself
>But instead of going into stables like every crypto holder would do, I bought worthless shiny illiquid shiny rocks so I can't buy the bottom
You can't fool anyone baggie.
