What are some obvious ways people waste money?
What are some obvious ways people waste money?
Not knowing how to fix even the simplest things.
>Oil changes
>fixing their grass
>swapping a battery in a phone
>changing tires every season
>putting silicone in their shower
imo this is the big one at least for me, getting hit with a 500-2000$ avoidable bill for something you can do yourself usually costs more than the base luxuries people want.
oh shit sorry I bought some ICECREAM guess I wont be able to pay of my loans and buy a house.
Thanks for the shitty advice boomer
health insurance instead of drinking water
Jesus those are bare minimum stuff not even a luxury items. How fuck are we
just live at home till u have a deposit its not that hard
I have /use none of them.
How not fucked am I?
Do not see how shit it is? Boomers can literally buy a house with minimum wages, now zoomers can’t even afford small stuffs. I can’t imagine what’s the next gen will have to do? Just don’t eat starter pack?
i am a frugal chad but none of the items are expensive though.
taxes on my condo are more than all that shit for the year
I smoke exotic ass kush, I got rich lungs...
It's not about the ice cream. It's about cultivating the discipline and willpower to delay immediate gratification in exchange for long term rewards. Ignore the conspicuous consumption you see on TikTok, it's normalizing the CONSOOM mindset.
"A little bit of ice cream isn't going to do anything." Since it's so insignificant, just try forgoing it for a week and proceed from there. I know you can do it!
>No. You can't watch TV and intake substances and food that makes you feel good. Quit spending. And stop enjoying yourself
The number one thing normies piss their money on is eating out at restaurants or going out to drink.
There's a fork on the toilet desk
You're right but
>Oil changes
I don't mind paying $40 for an oil change. $32 with the quarterly discount.
>fixing their grass
don't know what that is desu. what is "fixing their grass"?
>swapping a battery in a phone
The place I go charges $30 for batter swap. But I've only ever had to do it once in 10 years that I've owned a smart phone.
if thats what enjoying yourself is to you you're ngmi
What’s the point of making it, if every year u constantly have to invest and save. I swear there will be a food starter pack soon, dont eat this or u will not make it
>It's not about the FEED. It's about SEEDING the SNEED and CHUCK to delay immediate SUCK in exchange for long term FUCK. Ignore the GUATEMALAN LOAFERS you see on TikTok, it's normalizing the FORMERLY mindset.
"A little bit of FEED isn't going to SEED." Since it's so PARK AVENUE, just try SNEEDING it for a week and proceed from CHUCK. I know you can SUCK SNEED!
Already have. The people who made it sold before November. Your comment looks sad and lonely, good luck with all of that shit
Unbelieveably fucked. Wages are fucked, crypto is down, and I have a wife to take care of.
Trouble is if you are working a minimum wage wageslave job you are going to need things like alcohol and drugs to stop you from throwing yourself infront of the train during your evening commute
That’s funny but at this point that infographic and all the snark in this thread isn’t helpful.
I’m an attorney who, once in a while, deals with the lower income people. Let me just say, if this country continues on like this for another 5 months you won’t need to pontificate and philosophize about an economic depression in theory.
Good luck to you all out there. Save, save, and save some more. For the kids, fr fr, your life is gonna start straight sussin soon.
>Fixing their grass
people paying other people to mow their lawns, apply fertilizer and spray for weeds or other dumb shit, just one example of home maintenance I see lots of young people too lazy to do (I'm also young).
>Oil Changes
Certainly more expensive up here, but much cheaper to diy along with other vehicle maintenance
>fixing shit
In general it's just cheaper to fix things. This year alone had to fix my wifes cracked camera lens on her phone ($2 part), my vacuum ($0), her hairblower ($0) and did the brakes+rotors on her car and mine for parts cost only. I'm saving tons of money and enjoy the projects. I hire younger people to work for me seasonally, most have no desire to actually learn how things function, and it's expensive in todays world not to be able to swap a plug on a device or make simple repairs to various poorly made things we buy.
>Already have.
sure thing honey, you're a broke bitch don't lie to yourself
You wont because your test levels will be nuked
I worked for $10 an hour in 2019-2022 without a single raise. I didn't eat out and buy useless shit like streaming subs. I lived comfortably and still had enough to buy nice things once in a while. People who say they need $15 or $20 to survive are clearly just bad with money.
