Do you want to be a dumb whore whose job is to text people for 60k a year pre tax? They are needed like wet wipes are needed. Yea we can use toilet paper and coordinate ourselves but its better to have a wet slimy soft thing to wipe your ass and make work a little smoother. Really helps when people need to take time off and teams need to add new people or shuffle around

Kek, I am a project manager at a big tech company. DESU, I very often only work 2-3 hours each day.

Fake job

they're useful but they should be paid like 30k

>I very often only work 2-3 hours each day.
Serious question, is this why lage companies are stagnating? because idiots don't care to actually work on products?
So you want your engineers to do all the research, planning and other bullshit

hot pm are needed because most devs are socially inept, and the pm needs to be hot so the devs are more motivated to work.

Yuh, there is something soul destroying about providing little-to- no real value.

I think i'm gonna try to transition into product management/data analytics

You're confusing project manager with product manager. Product manager salaries are well into 6 figs.

Explain to me what the difference is I genuinely don't know and would genuinely like to learn

What's the difference between product manager and product owner or is it the same thing ?

My bad

>text people for 60k a year pre tax?

Putting out fires. human communication lines like this are the first to quit due to stress from randomness of job obstacles one day to the next.

>is this why companies are stagnating
yeah I think so
people only see work as a means to pay the bills, no one is interested in their "career path" anymore

Product manager is theoretically someone who understands the technical side of the software + understands the business side of the software and bridges the gap between engineers and businesspeople to build a plan for developing the product and making it better.

Product owner is a agile/scrum concept basically they crack the whip over the engineers to make them iterate on the product

Which one of them is not needed?

They can't possibly see anything on that glossy macbook screen. And the noise from the pool would be rather distracting

When your company starts hiring people for busywork positions its time to quit.

They are often the same thing.

Project managers, manage projects. Project are initiates with a limited time horizon. IE. developing an app or going after a short-term profitable initiative.

A product manager is someone that manages a specific product. For instance, you might have a product manager manage a customer facing sales portal. The product manager of the sales portal would ensure that the tool is achieving its pre-determined goals and is constantly looking for opportunities to improve the tool.

wtf bros every time i have to deal wtth a project manager its some pajeet incel how the fuck do i get one of these semon demons looking over my shoulder

>Serious question, is this why lage companies are stagnating?
Yes.
Do you think Elon is joking about people pretending to work?

As stupid as it looks when whores post tiktoks from the pool someone has to do a product management type job. Otherwise the product is going to be way off track with retard engineers who don't understand business trying to build a roadmap, or with retard businesspeople trying to build a roadmap without understanding what's technically feasible.

Keep switching teams then, or just go to a company that isn't completely "middle-managed" by curryniggers.
