Hey /pmg/ I just picked up a couple rolls of coins from the bank (the only rolls the teller happened to have). I'm hoping I can get a decent amount of copper pennies and some Older Nickels, but I'd be fine with anything as long as I don't get Zinced.
i am so dam dog tired. I dug down to 3m, the ground is now pretty well indestructible to hand tools, and at that depth its past the point of hand mining. On to the next spot tomorrow! At least I know now the stuff all the way down has gold, just not much worth the effort.
Looked through the rolls, only 6 copper cents which is about typical for my area, the oldest (and also lowest mintage) was a 1968-S. I also found a 2017-P which I've never found before. The Nickels were pretty average too, the oldest one was a 1963-D. Nothing special there.
Looks like an honest day's work, PAN MAN. Hope you found some good stuff.

mostly fly shit gold unfortunately, but you have to put the work in to learn ground, and now i have a far better idea where to check next. I am actually sure that if i went down another 2 meters i would hit bedrock and pay dirt now, but its not workable by hand.

Nice roll hunting is fun. I've found around a dozen 40% halves and a single 64 in many many boxes. I've found 1 silver quarter in about a dozen boxes and around 10 or so W mint marks from 2019 and 2020. I've searched a few boxes of nickels but haven't found any war nickels. I searched one box of pennies and found around $4 fv of copper but I will not be searching pennies again because rerolling the zinc was hell. I will never ever search dimes

Thanks user, I've searched through a couple boxes of pennies and only just now found one. I've been hunting coins since around November, I've gotten 1 Silver Dime, 1 Silver Quarter and 2 War Nickels along with $2 Face of W Quarters and $15 or so in Copper. I haven't been able to get any Halves so far. Sure, I'll try that again.
