Yes if you plan on going to school or starting a business. Buying a house with VA loan is always a good deal but by the time you'd be out who fucking knows what anything will look like. The pay isn't great but in general Americans like military people (but not the government)

Air force if you can chop it

If you have no good job prospects, the military is a pretty good way to reset your life with the GI Bill and being able to save up money during the enlistment.
If you want the most benefits with the least sacrifice, always go air force (usually much more of an office environment than the other branches, live on base and less dangerous) and try to get a technical job. Unless you love it, only do 1 enlistment.

Former Air National Guardsman here.

Join the Air Force, try to get a job in the cyber fields if you can. Excellent transferrability once you get out.

The pay is the same regardless of branch but:
E-3 (Airman First Class) pay:
>$2160 /month
>No rent/utilities when you're living in the dorms
>Basic allowance for subsistence pays for your meals
>If you have to live off base, basic allowance for housing covers your rent and more

You basically get 2k/month to put in your pocket and save if you are smart. Once you get out in 4 years, you can go to uni for free, get books paid for, and get your housing paid for.

You essentially get 8 years of living rent free and not worrying about your next meal. If you actually save 80% of what you're making in that time, you will be pretty well off if you didn't have any other options at the time of enlisting.

depends on what career you go for, i had a friend who pursued culinary specialist in the navy, now this mf manages restaurants in 5 different cities and even lets me eat for free in one, cool guy im happy for him

It's a great place if you want to ruin your back and knees for Israel.

No way, military life sucks. There is a reason why the retention rate is terrible. You will have no life outside the military,

You should look into a trade school or getting an IT certification. Also, there are some online colleges that are pretty cheap. Once you have a college degree and a IT certification you can make 80k + a year. Once you join military you lose your freedoms.

No, because you have to take the Clot Shot

5 years ago- yes.
Today- lol

Yes, don't be a fucking moron going in to play war hero but instead leech every benefit you possibly can from uncle sam. Chair Force has the highest quality of life and obviously go in for something with transferrable real world skills, and get a security clearance. If I could go back in time when I was younger that's exactly what I would have done.

Yeah. Why not?
Military is a socialist's wet dream. Everything is paid for by the government and you can live and eat and shit rent-free. Your pay is maybe a little low (at least at first when enlisted) but you get so many benefits that your costs are really low too.
Just invest all your salary money into Bitcoin and VOO and you'll come out after 4 years with a shitload. Not to mention you can get your college covered and good rates on home loans after you're out.
Hell, some people really like it and go career. I'd go Navy myself but you pick whichever you like.

Yes no but yes

Not worth it when Joe Biden is in office l

Yes, I am a homosexual

sorta. If you get a nice sign-on bonus (>$50k) + a deployment and quit after 3 years and use the GI bill to go to a good college then it can effectively save you tons of money. The problem is that those things no longer exist (good colleges, easy deployments) except for the sign-on bonuses, which your recruiter will probably screw you out of.

FUCK THEM DON"T KILL

Yes if you are an uneducated loser and learn something useful like programming, cybersecurity, radio, chemical/hazardous waste safety, etc. No if literally anything else.

Glow harder

Depends on what your plan is. Are you doing one contract and then going civilian again? Pick a tech job or something that will be high in demand.

Are you going to try to serve the full 20 years and retire? Pick the easiest job you humanly can. There are quite a few positions that even the dumbest gorilla nigger can do, and you get paid the same. In the Navy the say "choose your rate, choose your fate".

I kinda wish I picked this option because it's a way to check out of life and still be successful. Just do 20 years brainlessly and collect a pretty fat pension. but noooooo I wanna be a business owner~
