Isn't it longer than that though? I waited until the 4th epoch for my first reward. Someone posted a very useful image of what happens to your stake during the first 5 epochs. Think it went something like;
Epoch 1: deposit Epoch 2: register Epoch 3: start accruing rewards Epoch 4: first reward Epoch 5: second reward etc

Did most of the biz population acquire some sort of brain dampening disease or something? Because afaik you can earn a lot of money during a bear market be it shorting, staking or scalping, but ofc all of these need for you to be smart enough to do actual investments and deep market understanding, which i guess none of you have.
