the easiest equation to understand is print to burn burn ratio, expressed in USD (not ICP because burn occurs based on the dollar).
ICP Burn is going up despite the gradual reduction in cost. This is good news but there is still a lot of growth that needs to occur before the token can become deflationary.
Because of this, any rise in the ICP price will be attributed to investor speculation. Staking also plays an important role in this.
ICP will probably need 4 years to become deflationary. But when it does, watch out.
