I think SIGA has a chance to pull an AMC. I only hold a bit of it right now after the PM Monday morning pump made me a pretty penny.
So why do I think this? SIGA's financials are good, great even. The company itself is fundamentally undervalued and from my research its fair value is around $11~ pre-Monkey meme. They gave out a special 9% dividend recently (again before the Monkey) which just shows how insanely well they were doing. Now we had the Monkey thing where it pumped to $17 premarket on Monday and now is $9. That's a classic PnD biostock event. However, I firmly believe that the Monkey isn't going away.
The Monkey will be a mini-Covid event. >B-but user, Covid was a nothingburger it wasn't that bad at all Yes I agree. And neither will the Monkey. However around 5% of the population will have horrible, awful, horror movie level bumps on their skin, around 2% will be PERMANENTLY disfigured, and around 1% will die judging by the known statistics. This thing is also spreading fast. Scientists in Portugal and Spain have already remarked at how this is likely a (((highly mutated))) strain of the Pox. Then we have the gay pride month coming up which will be a superspreading event. And no, its not a gay only thing, others have gotten it including a kid.
We've gone from 0-300+ cases in a week.
This goes back to SIGA. SIGA is heavily HEAVILY shorted right now. Why the fuck haven't people covered? I don't know, I think some people legit think its going to go back to $7. That's a lot of risk for that kind of return. Beyond that, people have totally written off the fact that SIGA is VERY profitable company with a stupidly small Marketcap going into another p(l)andemic and they have the only anti-viral smallpox medication on the market.
So yeah, I genuinely think it can go to $50 fairly easily in the coming months. This is why I have some bags still in it, even after taking massive profits. I predict a 50% chance of that happening. Reposting before bed
>haven't touched my positions in months now because everything is about trying to frontrun the Fed >the options are: the Fed will actually listen to the inflation part of their mandate OR the Fed will pussy out again like in 2018 This sucks. My portfolio hinges on 1 boomer. What was price discovery like in the before times (pre-2009)? I'll be honest my first purchase was KO back in 2012.
