>Can monkeypox spread like corona if people are non-compliant? It spread via the respiratory system, from sneezing and coughing. Like the flu, or chickenpox. It has a r0 of at least 2 so in can spread exponentially creating an epidemic. Death rate is at least 1% It's already in about 20 countries.
those consumer staples told us they saw a big shift from goods to services. there is a falling demand in discretionary goods and they had an increase in recreation-adjacent goods, not to mention that they're now in a supply glut since these companies order their inventories 3-4 quarters in advance. it's little wonder that their profits/earnings/margins fell compared to the previous 2 years where demand for goods, especially consumer discretionary goods was massive
that said, supply chains are still fucked and we're going to continue to see inflation. the biggest danger i see is a policy mistake from the fed where they go too far trying to dampen demand and something breaks
>worse than 2008 how do you propose this occurs post dodd-frank?
now i'm not arguing for some "GOLDEN BULL RUN" nonsense, but thinking it's going to be the end of the world is q-boomer tier delusion
