Kleros is extremely interesting to me. It seems like there is an obvious use for it in the future as smart contracts will not be able to settle everything automatically and fairly.
Are there any competitors to Kleros trying to do the same thing? Why should I invest?

No, not really, it's either going to be Kleros or a Kleros fork with a better marketing. You could look at Aragon or idk UMA? Which have like what, 15 cases combined? while Kleros has already had 1000+ cases. It's in its own league in dispute resolution, but autistic devs refuse to do any marketing or cex listing because it's against their ideology.
