fusion won't, but quantum computing will.
That said, quantum computing will kill a lot more things than just crypto
Killin bitcoin since 1989
Star Wars isn't real
it only makes proof of work even more secure
while proof of stake remains a novelty
I wish net positive fusion was real, they got my hopes up as a kid
Actually, free or significantly cheaper electricity would be a huge boost in bitcoins price.
>what is quantum cryptography
PoW will unironically lead to the next energy revolution in the desperate search for cheap alternatives
just 30 more years sirs
Just two more decades to flatten the investment costs.
>what is quantum cryptography
its a meme faggot
only 2,999,900 qubits to go!
>what is quantum cryptography
>what is quantum encryption
>quantum computing is a meme
Do newfags really think faster processor = more bitcoin mined at a faster pace?
More likely will happen due to a stronger network.
bitcoin could roll out quantum resistance if it needed to. bitcoin would be the last currency standing if quantum computing was used to attack the global economy. all crypto would have to adopt some kind of quantum resistance to survive. CBDCs may also be able to become quantum resistant, idk. that may be the only way they can successfully roll out CBDCs.
>just 10 more years!
repeat since the 70's. I remember reading articles 10 years ago saying fusion would be here now, and articles 20 years ago saying fusion would be here 10 years ago.
I know some very smart CS people who don’t believe in quantum theory let alone believe quantum computing is or ever will be possible.
Fusion won't happen for probably a hundred years though
All publicly known quantum computers in the world are built on fundamentally erroneous assumptions about the motions of particles. Until they resolve their error they are no threat to crypto. Jiuzhang, Sycamore, D-Wave - all are on the wrong path.
I see. And you didn't think that at the same time there is quantum encryption available.
