It's no secret that many nations, including the USA, has a housing problem. Part of the reason is because of Urban sprawl and the focus of accommodation existing on the outskirts, making the housing more expensive. Moreover, basic laws of supply and demand make property more expensive as everyone crowds to go to the 'good' areas.
So, what we need are cheap, large apartment blocs with the ability to house single as well as families. So, why not build Commie Blocs again? Or build something like it? Cities already have 'luxury' apartments they try to sell you for 3500$ a month. It's clear that housing is going to become a worse and worse problem, so what is the issue with having 'cramped' apartment property for poorfags again? It's not like they'll turn down $400 a month or so to live in the big city.
in my country these were generally despised for a long time, but now they are quiet popular. with a little bit of maintenance and slap-on insulation they are very livable and low upkeep.

We had something similar to them. They were called The Projects, and in places like Chicago they became rats nests full of drugs, violent crime, prostitution, child sex rings etc. The blacks would tunnel through the walls and create drug networks that can't be detected by authorities without entering peoples apartments. Eventually nogs were using them as vantage points to snipe cops and they tore them down.

Dunno about america but in Canada (or at least Toronto which is way more overpriced than anything in America), something like 25% of home purchases are by investors, and something like 5% are forgeigners (this one I'm not so sure about, I'd have to double check it), and the reason they are buying real estate is because our money is worthless. So imo it's a fiat currency problem, and immigration is just fueling the fire. I think we should severely limit immigration until housing becomes affordable but with Trudeau in charge, he'll probably increase it if anything. Also since he's been in power (late 2015, so 6 years), housing prices in Canada have officially doubled. Canada is fucked.
