there are some hard-to-reach spots i'd like to travel to, especially ones associated with ancient megalithic construction. i'd love to see Easter Island and Nan Madol, the Buddhist and Taoist caves along the old Silk Road, mountain monasteries in Iran and the Caucasus, the Eye of the Sahara, Mauritius...i'd love to travel to all the sacred sites around Europe, and do the Camino Santiago (or associated pilgrimages) in Spain, maybe crossing the Pyrenees from Languedoc/S of France...basically I have a lot of traveling I'd like to do.
i'd also like to spend an extended period (at least 1 month) thru-hiking a longer trail. i was thinking about one up north by the Great Lakes, or exploring the Appalachians (even if i don't do the whole trail)
I still haven't seen much of my own country, so a long road trip through the South and Southwest, and then up the West Coast and back east through Idaho and Montana would be great.
it's been years since i've been able to see some live music so it would be cool to go to some festivals or something.
