Gas is currently over $8/gal on average in Germany. They'll be fine. /s

Is this the country that got successfully psyops'd into shutting down nuclear power plants?

The natural gas situation is even worse. Entirely dependent on pipelines, so no way to switch suppliers even if they wanted to.

>Around 95% of Germany's natural gas is imported, of which around half is re-exported. 55% of gas imports come from Russia, 30% from Norway and 13% from the Netherlands. As of 2022, Germany does not have LNG terminals, so all gas imports use pipelines.

demand? who is germany to demand anything
they WILL buy the rubles

Kek
I wonder what Putin worshippers say now

How do they not have lng ports? This isn't a landlocked South American country

China and India also are refusing to buy oil in rubles. I don't know what people were thinking, it's clear here Russia has no leverage and are desperate for any cash they can get. They're not going to say no because you're paying in Yuan/Rupees/Euros/USD

I'm loling out loud so hard at germancucks falling for the "renewable green energy" meme and sabotaging their economy by refusing to build any energy infrastructure because they were going to phase out fossil fuels by 2025. Pretty sure Gretta is a Russian operative and the Russians fleeced those naive germancucks harder than they ever imagined when planning their psyop

Bet get on the friendly list so you can pay in bitcoin then

I can't explain the German mindset to you user. They are quite possibly the most brainwashed people on the planet.

They don't have Rubles, and they will not re-list rubles on swift so no soup for them.
There economy will now crash.

russia economy is doing fine
ruble has recovered as well
didn't even drop as much as the turkish lira kek

... and they will be happy!

They even got rid of nuclear power, which is, by far, the best energy source for them.

i'm all ears user, enlighten me

>has no leverage
>can shut down the pipeline

So instead of starting the nuclear plants or planning construction of more plants, they start plans for place to STORE LNG?

>“An LNG terminal that today receives gas can tomorrow be used to import green hydrogen.”

The problem with Germany is that they're literally can't switch suppliers short of trucking in oil or something. Even sending it via ship to terminals will increase the cost of their oil substantially. They're just not realizing that maybe it was a bad idea to become totally dependent on Russian oil and LNG so they'll (maybe) build some terminals to allow for oil tankers to make deliveries. Those should be ready in... oh, four or five years. And I'm sure the German environmentalists won't try to resist it at all.

he will simply shut off their gas

They will only force this measure on hostile countries, so not on China/India etc.

See, for example, this state-media report of environmentalist retards fretting over the carbon emissions that the new lng ports (which will optimistically be done in late 23) as Russia bombs European cities into rubble

i really have to wonder if the people in charge are genuinely stupid or if blowing up their economy is part of some scheme. Can't believe anyone could be that dumb but Occams Razor says the simplest explanation is the most plausible

>They're not going to say no because you're paying in Yuan/Rupees/Euros/USD
You fool. It doesn't need to be paid for in rubles, it just needs to not get paid for in dollars. It is undermining the dollar as world reserve currency, whatever other payment method is immaterial. What matters is what currency is going to see demand collapse. You've been warned. Fist gradually then suddenly. The time to prepare is when it is gradually. By the time suddenly happens, you're fucked.

Wow, Germany is a fucking retard country.

Germany isn't as reliant on Russian gas as you think.

True, flies in the face of the petroruble narrative everyone here has been shilling the past few months though.

Just wait till they snap.
It takes a lot, but when they do, they go completely in the opposite direction will all of the rage and fury you would expect.

Yes, it'll no doubt weaken the petrodollar but all the vatniks on here are insisting it'll single-handedly cause the collapse of the united states and USD which is ridiculous.

>In which Germany doesn't buy any Russian gas.
Bold strategy Cotton. They'll just wind up buying it via various intermediaries, and Putin doesn't give a shit. I *think* what's happening is that the US state department decided that sanctions were a thing, and didn't consider the ramifications, at all. Basically a tanty from Nuland and Blinken. Good luck with that.
