Seems to be that way. We'll probably still have bear markets of 60-70% drawdowns, but they'll be shorter-lived and we won't see a -85% again. Consider that every bear market the price recovers from the lows exactly one year from the halving, after dropping for a full year. At this point, even if we peak late this year, there's not enough time to go through the whole bear market -> recovery of three years again. The halving will only be less than two years away. Something will have to give, and I'm guessing it's the extremes of the previous bear markets.
Tl;dr volatility smoothing, lower highs and higher lows. We're entering the era of a comfy, slow, everlasting bull market, similar to big tech after 2013 or so.
