All I know about sand is that there is 2 kinds; desert sand and river sand. Desert sand is smooth and cannot be used for cement and river sand which is jagged and can be used for cement

>I don't like sand. It's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere.
>Not like here. Here everything is soft and smooth.

Same prop trader as last thread. Figure I won’t check the last one for replies.

Futures red like my girlfriend's period

not cement user but take a gander at this pennystock company overview, seems relevant somehow:

>Select Sands Corp., together with its subsidiaries, engages in quarrying and producing silica sand. The company holds a 100% interest in the Sandtown project covering an area of approximately 520 acres located in northeast Arkansas, the United States. It sells its products to industrial and energy customers. The company was formerly known as La Ronge Gold Corp. and changed its name to Select Sands Corp. in November 2014. Select Sands Corp. was incorporated in 2006 and is based in Vancouver, Canada.

Holy....Hannah Hays is officially the queen of /smg/. Move over Neeko/Lum. I can't believe I meme'd this into existence. No one even asks what my holdings are (they're 100% puts)

>short a stock with ~6 P/E

Wait'll you see their Q1 earnings. Or don't, because then everyone will be shorting at a P/E of 60.

I don't how we were -2% when Russia invaded Ukraine and then we recovered at the opening bell. Same thing Jan 24.

um....hello? based department?

i've told you everything i know. i don't know how to play "building material shortage" yet, but it's something i look out for in the news.
>"sand shortage" has been predicted to become an issue this century by civeng researchers in the last decade under the assumption that china keeps building infrastructure as it does now
>research begins on how to improve cement recycling and how to create materials better suited than wood (the talk i visited was in 2017 or 2018)
>in 2019, it becomes a UN topic (researchgate.net/publication/332933624_Sand_and_sustainability_Finding_new_solutions_for_environmental_governance_of_global_sand_resources)
>china seemingly changes course during covid; more wooden buildings, no commie blocks, no tall buildings in general. all the wood in europe and elsewhere is bought up by the chinese, thus fueling our housing supply crisis
>even if china has seemingly changed course for now, it isn't clear that india will, too

the bottom is in because everyone is talking about "waiting for the big dip" so that's how i 100% know that we are there

So we're at complacency
