All I know about sand is that there is 2 kinds; desert sand and river sand. Desert sand is smooth and cannot be used for cement and river sand which is jagged and can be used for cement

i've told you everything i know. i don't know how to play "building material shortage" yet, but it's something i look out for in the news. >"sand shortage" has been predicted to become an issue this century by civeng researchers in the last decade under the assumption that china keeps building infrastructure as it does now >research begins on how to improve cement recycling and how to create materials better suited than wood (the talk i visited was in 2017 or 2018) >in 2019, it becomes a UN topic (researchgate.net/publication/332933624_Sand_and_sustainability_Finding_new_solutions_for_environmental_governance_of_global_sand_resources) >china seemingly changes course during covid; more wooden buildings, no commie blocks, no tall buildings in general. all the wood in europe and elsewhere is bought up by the chinese, thus fueling our housing supply crisis >even if china has seemingly changed course for now, it isn't clear that india will, too
