Are electric cars going to become ubiquitous in America given increasing oil prices? Is this the time to invest in American automakers that will take advantage of majority of the population being priced out of gasoline?
Chevrolet PE ratio: 6.4 (EVs - Bolt, Silverado, Equinox) Ford PE ratio: 3.7 (EVs -F-150, Mustang, E-transit)
Lithium supplies are limited. You are just switching from one form of scarcity for another
Plus there are safety issues, etc that are becoming apparent for EV's
EV's will likely remain luxury vehicles. Basically the new BMW's. ICE cars will still dominate.
We might see more diesel cars tho
Andrew Allen
EV's are a pipedream for the next decade at least. all these idiots think we are ready to just move along from petroleum until events force it's removal and everything grinds to a halt. if these retards actually cared, we would be using MORE oil and gas to arrive at the destination sooner.
Christopher Kelly
i think motorcycles are actually going to be big
Camden Bell
>people are going to risk becoming paralyzed/organ donors to save a few bucks on gas
Brayden Nguyen
I bought one recently on the reasoning that the shit you need to build EVs has become very expensive/scarce lately (e.g. lithium, nickel, microchips) and obviously because fuel is expensive. All of this should mean that an EV you buy now retains its value pretty well, on top of the savings on fuel.
People who buy electric cars in America are retarded.
Matthew Brown
Not sure why people forget about the self driving factor of electric cars. It's not that everyone will own one but a growing number of people will use them like an Uber.
Cooper Gonzalez
They will become more popular as part of the great reset agenda. Targeted individuals will have their cars bricked for wrongthink
>ev cucks finally realizing they depend on the oil based economy Better late than never I guess... I still want them to suffer though
Adrian Sullivan
wait what the fuck, in almost a year only 1300 saved? AHAHAHAHAH please tell me this is a joke
Nathaniel Barnes
Why would you trust an electric self-driving car? Serious question.
Leo Carter
oil will probably go down since price increase is based on fears in the supply chain rather than actual problems.
Also America produces enough oil and gas to supply all of its own needs without buying any from anyone else. So prices only go up if suppliers can continue to convince consumers that there's some reason for it.
Robert James
That's only if the public is allowed to use the oil. Don't you get it by now?
Joseph Anderson
worth it
Dylan Morgan
get a load of this faggot. u will own nothing, u will rent everything, u will eat printed bug steak and drink printed juice, u will live in a pod and you will sell your asshole to pay rent.
can't tell if you're sarcastic or serious, either way did you fully pay for it or is it financed? cause if it's the second expect muskrat to literally selfdrive that shit back to the bank not even joking
Mason Torres
I could have paid cash but I chose to finance $39k of it at 1.38% apr. That's only $1700 interest over the lifetime of the loan. I put a little over $20k worth of stablecoin into Celsius and made $1700 in like 10 months. worth it
Daniel Gray
Tesla's auto pilot beta is in some ways safer than the average human driver already. The trend of AI slowly then exponentially outperforming humans will more than likely play out again here.
Mason Reyes
Tesla will continue to steam roll this space for the next decade. Don't @ me.
